Reports and Student Conferences

On Friday our mid year reports will go home. Next week we have our Student Conferences.  This is a chance for your child to share their learning with you.  They will share work they are proud of and talk about what they still need to work on.  They will also talk about how they have gone towards achieving their goals set in Term 1.
Here are some questions that you could ask your child to help them talk about their work.
  • What work are you most proud of?
  • What have you done well?
  • Why do you think this is a good piece of work?
  • What do you enjoy doing most at school?
  • What did you learn doing this task?
  • What is this task about?
  • How could you improve this work?
  • What did you find hard with this piece of work?
  • What are your next learning goals?
  • What help do you need to achieve them?
Here are some comments to give your child.
  • I like this work because ...
  • I am proud of you because ...
  • I can see you have got better at ...
  • I can see you need to keep working on ...
  • I can help at home by ...
The conference is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have about your child's learning.

I look forward to seeing you all next week.
